Self-Driving: Hervey Bay is approximately 3 hours by car north of Brisbane, 2.5 hours north of Sunshine Coast and 1.5 hours north of Rainbow Beach. Check-in at our Mainland Reception in River Heads. On Google Maps, this will appear as 54 Ariadne St. After arriving at this location, a courtesy coach will provide transport to the ferry departure point, and you will arrive directly at Kingfisher Bay Resort and board our custom 4WD coach.

Secure Car Park Facilities: The secure facility is located adjacent to our River Heads Reception. Bookings are highly recommended and can be made directly with our Reservations Team.

Courtesy Transfers: If you require a courtesy transfer from select locations in Hervey Bay, please enter your pick-up location at the time of booking.

Our 4WD coaches have been specifically designed to navigate the sandy tracks and unique terrain found on K'gari. They are air-conditioned, have panoramic windows and are capable of carrying 40 passengers.

As this tour is off-road on sand tracks and conditions can be rough at times, we advise all pregnant travellers and people with medical conditions to seek medical advice before booking this tour.

Children over the age of one are welcome on all of our tours. If your child is under the age of eight, please provide them with a car seat. If you do not have a car seat, please call the Reservations Team before booking.

Our tours generally depart rain, hail or shine but in the event of extreme weather, tours can be cancelled. In this event, if you booked directly with us, refunds will be issued. If you booked through an agent, your refund will be determined by your booking agent.
