Please dress appropriately for the occasion, while it may appear warm in Hobart, the weather can change throughout the day, so please ensure to bring warm clothes, comfortable shoes and your camera!

The public day tours start at Brooke Street Pier, Franklin Wharf, Hobart. You will meet your tour guide on the ramp of the Brooke Street Pier at 9:00 am. If it is raining the meeting point will be the entrance inside the glass doors at the top of the ramp. Please arrive at 9:00 am, at the latest.&nbsp;

Let the Operator know via the booking system or email them ahead of time with your special requirements, so they can arrange substitutions for lunch.

On this exclusive tour, you will sample the finest local whisky, meet the distillers, get behind the scenes, and taste spirits direct from the stills and the cask.&nbsp;This unforgettable experience takes you to three internationally respected distilleries in a single day. So relax and enjoy as you drive through beautiful Tasmanian landscapes, ranging from the Coal Valley to the Southern Midlands to the Tasmanian Highlands.

The whisky industry is a source of great pride in Tasmania &ndash; you will get a sense of that passion firsthand when you meet the whisky makers who will take you through the secrets of their distillation process. You will be treated to tastes of up to a dozen of Tasmania&rsquo;s finest single malts, blends and other spirits, as well as stopping in at a local eatery to enjoy a seasonal lunch of Tasmanian produce.

The distilleries visited will vary on the day but can include a mix of&nbsp;Old Kempton Distillery,&nbsp;Sullivan&#39;s Cove Distillery,&nbsp;Killara Distillery,&nbsp;Lark Distillery&nbsp;or Gold Bar.&nbsp; 
&nbsp;

Located in an 1840s colonial mansion, Old Kempton Distillery is packed full of charm. Choose from a range of whiskies, including small-batch single malt whisky, gins, and liqueurs.&nbsp;They also stock a collection of local produce, such as&nbsp;Van Diemen Providore jams, Tassie Settlers whisky infused sauces, Olde Spikey Bridge Peanut Butter, Allwright honey, Dundee Garlic,&nbsp;and Wobbly Boot Wine.

&nbsp;

Sullivan&#39;s Cove Distillery is the birthplace of Tasmanian whisky, producing award-winning,&nbsp;quintessential small-batch luxury&nbsp;whisky. They use 100 per cent Tasmanian barley and age in American oak ex-bourbon barrels or French oak ex-tawny barrels for up to 18 years.

&nbsp;

Meanwhile, in Richmond, Killara Distillery&nbsp;is one of the few in the world that is owned and operated by a woman &ndash;&nbsp;Kristy Booth-Lark, who comes from a family of distillers. Sample a range of whisky, gin, and vodka at the cellar door.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

The cosy speakeasy that is Gold Bar is another potential destination on this whisky tour. It has a relaxing atmosphere, with a range of local whiskies and spirits, accompanied by friendly banter and tall stories.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

The final destination, Lark Distillery, is another one of the oldest distilleries in Tasmania, opening in 1992. Try the range of single-malt whiskies, some of which are smoked with peat from the&nbsp;Tasmanian Highlands. The cellar door on Davey Street in Hobart is perfect for enjoying a dram.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Lunch is also included on this tour and is enjoyed at&nbsp;Wattlebanks Cafe &amp; Providore. The menu showcases incredible local produce, with dishes that can cater to various dietary needs.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

Our tours operate with a minimum of 4 passengers. You will be notified as soon as the tour reaches four or more bookings. In the unlikely event that a tour does not reach minimum bookings by midday the day before departure, the tour will be cancelled and your credit card will be refunded. We will contact you direct and offer the chance to reschedule for another day.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL 

Drink Tasmania Premium Tours does not condone excessive or binge drinking. We promote responsible drinking of alcohol at all times. Our tours have been designed and paced to ensure guests enjoy sampling various types of products, but are not at risk of excessive consumption.

Guests must at all times abide by state and federal laws regarding lawful drinking practices including, but not limited to, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) laws, the consumption of alcohol in public places, in vehicles and consumption of &#39;bring your own&#39; (BYO) alcohol.

Service of alcohol may be refused to persons deemed intoxicated. All guests and all tours are subject to RSA laws at each of the venues/sites we visit and the tour leader will communicate and enforce all decisions made by all venue/site staff, including but not limited to restricting the service of alcohol.

Excessive consumption of alcohol prior to our tours beginning is strictly forbidden. Any guests found to be intoxicated prior to the start of the tour will be refused admission and will not be allowed in the tour vehicle. Refusal of admission will be at the Tour Guide&#39;s sole discretion. If he/she believes any guest/s pose an inherent risk to the safe conduct of a tour, they will be refused admission and no refunds will be provided.

Drink Tasmania Premium Tours visits licenced premises where alcohol is served. It is your responsibility to carry a valid passport, drivers licence, proof of age card, or other suitable form of identification for the duration of the tour. Any guest who consumes, or is suspected of consuming, alcohol in a non-licensed area can be removed from the tour. They will not be entitled to any refund. Non-licensed areas may include, but are not limited to: tour buses and vehicles; non-licensed areas of venues or consuming BYO drinks on visiting properties; or any public areas such as restrooms, parks or service stations where the vehicle may stop.

Any alcohol purchased on the tour is to remain in the vehicle and must strictly not be consumed in the vehicle.

SAFETY

Drink Tasmania operates tours in working distilleries, breweries, wineries and cideries and other associated venues. Due to occupational health and safety requirements we strongly recommend wearing closed shoes on all our tours. At some locations you may be required to wear high-visual vests where machinery is operational. Inappropriate footwear and clothing may result in you not being allowed on the processing floor.

By booking with us you acknowledge that participation in all our tours involves inherent risks that may not be present in other tours. These risks include, without limitation, the possibility of injury or death, psychological trauma, loss or damage to property, inconvenience and discomfort.

AUTHORITY OF THE TOUR GUIDE

At all times the decision of the Drink Tasmania Premium Tours tour guide or representative will be final on all matters likely to affect the safety and well-being of the tour.

This includes any decision that the tour leader makes about the on-going participation of a guest on the tour or certain activities that comprise part of the tour.

This includes any person, in the opinion of the tour leader, who is affected by alcohol or other drugs (whether prescribed by a medical practitioner or otherwise).

If a guest fails to comply with a decision made by the tour guide, or interferes with the well-being of the group, then the tour guide reserves the right to terminate this contract and order the guest to leave the tour immediately, with no right of refund.

The matter may be also reported to the Tasmanian Police if deemed necessary by the tour guide or representative. Drink Tasmania Premium Tours are not responsible for any costs incurred once a guest is removed from a tour.

BEHAVIOUR POLICY

You are responsible for your own behaviour. Uncontrollable and disruptive drunken behaviour will not be tolerated.

Any person deemed unruly or disruptive can be removed from the tour and will not be entitled to any refund.

Any legal action (including fines) taken against a person on the tour, or against Drink Tasmania Premium Tours because of the actions of a guest, will be the sole responsibility of that person or persons.

Drink Tasmania Premium Tours strongly recommends that you do not drive after one of our tours. We unfortunately cannot accept any responsibility for your ability to get home once our tours terminate.

Guests are responsible for any damage they cause during the tour to property of Drink Tasmania Premium Tours or any businesses we visit.

A minimum fee of $200 will apply to any damage or spillage on our bus. We reserve the right to charge your credit card without authorisation from you to cover the costs for any damage incurred by you or by guests you booked.

Smoking is not permitted in our tour vehicles or inside venues unless it is in a designated smoking area.

We are not responsible for the conduct of third party operators, venues or suppliers.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Peace of mind Covid cancellation policy &nbsp;&ndash; never fear! You won&rsquo;t be out of pocket.

If Tasmanian Borders close to the state in which you live and disrupts the date of your tour booking, you can choose from a full refund, a rescheduled tour date or a gift voucher to use in the next 365 days. Your health and safety, and those of all our guests and guides is paramount. Know that we&rsquo;d love to welcome you again when it&rsquo;s possible!

Change requests:

We&rsquo;ve all had those moments where things get wild and plans need to adapt&hellip; You may be able to make a change to your booking up to 24 hours prior to your departure time by emailing bookings@drinktasmania.com.au or contacting us on 0475 000 120. We will do our best to accommodate your change request.

Cancellations &amp; Refunds

What if Drink Tasmania have to cancel a tour?:

Well, that&rsquo;s on us. In the rare instance that this occurs, you&rsquo;ll get a full refund and we&rsquo;ll hope to be able to host you another time.

It&rsquo;s just not possible to attend my tour:

We offer refunds to clients for events outside of their control &ndash; if you have something going on &ndash; reach out and we will assist you with a refund or change of date. We seek to find solutions with you.

What if I have a last minute change of mind?:

Due to a minimum number of passengers required to confirm a tour, once payment has been received, refunds are generally unavailable for cancellations within 24 hours of a tour. &nbsp;(Also, these tours are so much fun &ndash; why would you change your mind?)

However if you did need to cancel within 24 hours we&rsquo;ll gladly reschedule you for another available tour or offer a gift voucher that can be used to book a tour up to 365 days later!

When you don&rsquo;t show up and we&rsquo;re worried about where you are:

In instances where a guest does not show up on the day of their tour without any prior communication &ndash; we are not able to offer a refund.
