The Operator has a number of local tour guides, each one has an intimate knowledge of the area and Aboriginal culture.
Ngurrangga Tours uses four wheel drive vehicles including Toyota Landcruises. You also have the option to take your own 4WD vehicle on selected tours.
The main Pilbara touring season is in the Australian winter. In Australia’s North West the ‘wet season’ is from around December through to March and sometimes a bit later, with occasional cyclones bringing heavy rain. It can also be hot during the summer months. However, The Operator runs year round and adapt tours to the conditions.
Wear comfortable clothes, walking shoes and a hat. Make sure you put on sun screen, bring a bottle of water and don’t forget your camera!
