The Operator has a number of local tour guides, each one has an intimate knowledge of the area and Aboriginal culture.

Ngurrangga Tours uses four wheel drive vehicles including Toyota Landcruises.&nbsp;You also have the option to take your own 4WD vehicle on selected tours.&nbsp;

The main Pilbara touring season is in the Australian winter. In Australia&rsquo;s North West the &lsquo;wet season&rsquo; is from around December through to March and sometimes a bit later, with occasional cyclones bringing heavy rain. It can also be hot during the summer months. However, The Operator runs year round and adapt tours to the conditions.

Wear comfortable clothes, walking shoes and a hat.&nbsp; Make sure you put on sun screen, bring a bottle of water and don&rsquo;t forget your camera!

The tour departs from the Karratha Visitor Centre,&nbsp;Lot 4548 De Witt Rd, Karratha WA 6714

Open the day with a traditional&nbsp;Welcome to Country&nbsp;as you&#39;re guided to sacred sites and significant open-air ancient rock galleries across the&nbsp;Burrup Peninsula&nbsp;in&nbsp;Murujuga National Park,&nbsp;spanning more than 40,000 years.

&nbsp;

Listen to cultural stories and learn about&nbsp;bush medicine and bush tucker&nbsp;harvested in the area and still used by the traditional owners throughout the Pilbara. Try some of the seasonal bush tucker foods&nbsp;as your guide talks you through what to look out for when it&#39;s time to gather these native foods.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

After a day of adventure, return to the&nbsp;Karratha Visitor Centre&nbsp;to end your cultural tour.&nbsp;

For this tour, guests need to be fully self-sufficient. Pack as though you were heading out on a road trip.&nbsp;
