The Makapuu&nbsp;Lighthouse Trail is for beginners and suitable for all ages. It is a paved 4km hike, taking around 2 hours to complete. However, it is not recommended to participate if you meet any of the following conditions; heart disease, respiratory disease, high blood pressure, pregnancy, anemia, a feeling of unwellness or have any small children.

Shoes for hiking, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, towel, cash and credit card for any purchases.

Get picked up from your hotel or the closest pick-up point to your hotel in the Waikiki/Kahala&nbsp;area an hour and a half before the sunrise time, usually around 5am. This will be dependent on the season. The exact pick-up location and time will be confirmed one day before the tour by email or phone.&nbsp;

The Makapu&#39;u Lighthouse Trail is an easy, paved 4km hike suitable for all ages.&nbsp;Between November and May, this trail is an excellent place to view migrating humpback whales and on a clear day, you may even see the neighbouring islands of Molokai and Lanai. Join your friendly local driver guide an hour and a half before the sun rises to experience the trail at one of the best times of the day, a morning sunrise for picture-perfect photo opportunities.&nbsp;

After your&nbsp;hike, which should take approximately 2 hours to complete, you will stop by the Halona Blowhole. Enjoy&nbsp;the magnificent scenery&nbsp;as it&nbsp;sprays out water from the Pacific Ocean as well as the Halona Cove, a small secluded beach often used in movies.

Explore more of the east side of Oahu as you enjoy some more photo opportunities at the iconic Sandy Beach, where you can watch bodyboarders&nbsp;ride the powerful barreling waves that break near the shoreline. Finish up your unforgettable morning back at your Waikiki/Kahala&nbsp;accommodation, where the rest of the day is yours for more exploring or relaxing on the beach.
