Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Experience and Tours is located on the southeast edges of the Watarrka National Park, approximately 5hr 30mins southwest of Alice Springs. It is 2 km adjacent to Kings Creek Station on the Luritja Highway and 34 km from the Kings Canyon Resort. Look out for the Karrke sign and turn off onto a dirt road for 2 km to reach Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Experience and Tours.

Due to the remote location, The Operator regrettably does not provide transfers for travellers. Therefore, travellers will be required to make their own travel arrangements to and from the KARRKE Cultural tour site.

Please note that for all bush foods pre­sent­ed The Operator does not rec­om­mend any­body eat them. It will be at your own risk-taking.

  • The site does have very hot days in sum­mer (Octo­ber to March) with day­time tem­per­a­tures reg­u­lar­ly exceed­ing 35°C so bring a fly net, cool and com­fort­able clothes and closed in footwear

  • A water bot­tle to keep hydrated

  • Sun­screen and a hat

  • Dur­ing the win­ter months (June to August) it does get cool, so do rug your­self up for the out­doors weather.
